Austrian FPÖ Climbs to 37%, Government Parties Lag Behind

The Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) is continuing its upward surge in the opinion polls, and it is now way ahead of all the other parties. The opposition right-wing party now has the support of 37% of the electorate, cementing its substantial lead over two of the governing parties, the Social Democratic Party (SPÖ) and the centre-right People’s Party (ÖVP), which trail at 20% and 19%, respectively.
